Writing assignment: "Inside The Candelaria Festival of Puno, Peru"

travel word candelaria screenshot

After being contacted by one of the editors at the Travel Word about writing up my experiences at the Fiesta de la Candelaria in Puno, Peru, I put this together for their Travellers' Tales section. The editor had seen my photo essay in Matador Nights on the same festival, and asked me to write a more on-the-ground piece about my experiences. You can check it out here: Inside The Candelaria Festival of Puno, Peru
